Smoky Quartz is a rock trinket added in The Reheated Update.

Effects

• Upon taking damage, Golem creates a smoke screen that confuses nearby enemies for 6.67 seconds, and grants Golem a temporary speed boost that quickly fades.

Notes

• The temporary speed boost granted by the smoke screen is equal to the amount of speed required to reach the speed cap of 2, and fades at a rate of -0.0008 speed per frame (or -0.24 speed per second).
  • If the amount of negative speed Golem has would result in going below the minimum speed cap of 0.10, this can subtract from the speed boost granted by Smoky Quartz, granting less of a speed up when activating.

Interactions

• Trinket Multipliers / Henge Rock: Affects the radius of the smoke screen and how close enemies must be to become confused.
• Azurite Spindown: Using Azurite Spindown on Smoky Quartz rerolls it into Shard of Golgotha.
